Soloko
***this is a playable build for testing***
How many words can you score without collapsing? (That is, your tiles collapsing)
Soloko (meaning "always" or "constantly in IsiXhosa, a Bantu language) is a rapid single-player crossword game that's based on Scrabble's core functionality and rules but with one very important distinction: time. Keep the timer running to play more words; default, and lose all your tiles.
Played on an 11x 11 grid from any device, you reset the 45-second clock when you meet one of two thresholds: one base on points and the other on the number of tiles that make up your valid word(s), also known as Valid Word Tiles (VWT). This Dual Threshold Reset system (DTR) varies with each level, of which there are four (for now.) Earn bonuses organically (points multipliers) and, when the game will be published, through direct purchases of Time Freeze activations. Another yet subtle bonus feature of the game is the "Versatile slot" (marked by a stylized "V"), which applies to shared tiles of 2 or more confirmed/valid words.
The "Versatile" slot & tile placement
Finally, a time-based Scrabble-like game that makes sense.
